THE FLIP SIDE is a feel-good action movie that reaches a wide audience and can be marketed to the entire family. A washed up stunt legend finds redemption when he takes an overlooked teen under his wing; coupled with a story about a teen who becomes a sensation when he discovers an unknown talent.
FLIP FINN is a nice boy living with Down syndrome who loves performing homegrown amateur stunts. He slowly gains a following that lands him in the cool crowd, his first girlfriend, and the attention of his stunt idol.
CLARK HOOPER is a legendary stuntman who witnesses the death of his best friend and protégé on the set of one of Clark's own movies. Suddenly shunned by the entire industry, Clark's self-destructive traits surface as he alienates the few people who try to support him. After hitting rock bottom, Clark regains purpose once he learns that Flip, now a local sensation, has always idolized Clark. Clark offers to train Flip to become a professional stunt man.
As Flip's training with Clark intensifies, Flip strains the relationships with his friends, family and girlfriend. Clark gets one chance to work on a big budget film, but can't get any established stuntman to work for him. Clark offers Flip a job he's not trained to perform. In the face of danger, Flip must choose between the relationships with his adoring family, loyal friends and loving girlfriend or rescue the career of his idol and reach for his own personal glory.
Starring the unlikeliest of action heroes, THE FLIP SIDE showcases the wide spectrum of the amateur and professional stunt community. THE FLIP SIDE is identifiably action from start to finish, but is driven by strong characters full of wit and humor; love and loyalty; strong family values; and triumph in the face of tragedy.
